Christmas at the Castle
Friday 11 & Saturday 12 December | 5pm-9pm
Nottingham Castle
Nottingham City Council is delighted to announce a brand-new event coming to the grounds of Nottingham Castle this December, featuring seasonal entertainment, community spirit, and festive cheer!
Christmas at the Castle takes place on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 December from 5pm-9pm each evening, transforming the Castle grounds into a cosy Christmas experience for residents and visitors of all ages.
Attendees can enjoy a festive programme of live music and traditional carol singing at the bandstand, while younger guests will have the opportunity to meet Father Christmas in Santa’s Grotto. A variety of walkabout performers will add to the seasonal atmosphere throughout the event.
Refreshing the event will be the Indie Brewers of Nottingham who will bring a fantastic selection of locally brewed cask ales and craft beers to enjoy during the festivities or take home for Christmas. Alongside some specially selected festive beers, visitors can warm up with mulled wine and mulled cider, browse a great range of brewery gifts and discover the very best of Nottingham’s independent brewing scene.
In addition, a hand-picked selection of local traders and caterers will be serving Christmas-themed street food and sweet treats.
Christmas at the Castle has been commissioned by the Council as a part of the city’s annual programme of free and low-cost events. The event has been funded through the Council’s £25 million additional investment package, announced earlier this year to transform frontline services, support families, and boost pride in Nottingham.
£2 per person (inclusive of booking fees)
