Christmas Market at Nottingham Castle

About

Saturday 25 & Sunday 26 November 2023 (SOLD OUT)
Nottingham Castle

If you’re a fan of browsing stalls, relishing the taste of Christmas-inspired food and drink, or just love walking around and soaking in the festive atmosphere - then the It's in Nottingham Christmas Market, within the grounds of Nottingham Castle, is the perfect treat for you.

Tickets are now sold out for this event.

Visitors who have purchased a £1 ticket must arrive within their allocated timeslot but can stay at the event for as long as they like (up to the closing time). Tickets include access to the Christmas Market, Nottingham Castle and grounds. Please note that the Museum and Galleries will remain open until 6pm on the Saturday.

If you arrive outside of your allocated timeslot, you will not be guaranteed entry.

Nottingham Castle annual pass holders will be allowed entry for free during any timeslot.

If you haven't managed to obtain a ticket, you may still be able to visit the event. Limited walk-ups (£1 entry per person) will be available on the door, subject to our site capacity at that time. You may encounter a short wait at busy times, particularly at the start of each session.

The timeslots are as follows:

Saturday 25 November
10am-1pm | 1pm-4pm | 4pm-7pm

Sunday 26 November
10am-1pm | 1pm-4pm

Our Dementia Choir will take to the bandstand to perform on Saturday 25 November at 4pm. Visitors can also expect performances over the two days from Fun Chorus, Carlton Male Voice Choir, Hope Community Choir, Sing it Bold Gospel Choir and Limelight Orchestra, as well as family-friendly street entertainment, Morris Dancing and free face painting for children.

The Christmas Market has been curated and organised by It’s in Nottingham - the city’s business improvement district, in partnership with Nottingham City Council and Nottingham Castle, and gives Nottingham-based independent retailers and creatives, both bricks and mortar and online, a unique trading platform which will highlight the city’s fantastic independents.

With over 35 independent stallholders, visitors can expect to see freshly baked goods, sweet treats, cheeses, gins and liqueurs, arts, crafts, and handmade jewellery available from local independent retailers over the two days.

Some of the popular businesses taking part include Bird and Blend Tea, Block Party Bakery, Cropwell Bishop Creamery, Studio Chocolate, Emmy Lupin Studio, Happy Sunday Vintage, Grace Barlow Jewellery, Macaron Marlo, The Bead Shop and The Treat Kitchen.

Festive food and drink will be on offer with traditional roasted chestnuts, pork roasts, cheese melts and crepés, and Castle Rock Brewery will be on hand to provide the Christmas cheer with mulled wine and other refreshments.

Alongside the market stalls, the event will also include a full programme of exciting live music from the bandstand, performing acts and family-friendly entertainment, including a vintage carousel, free face painting and arts and crafts.
