Monday 10 - Friday 14 August 2020 | 10am - 4pm
£450
This course is an opportunity to engage with the latest concept art techniques practised throughout the game design industry, many of which are also techniques used in film and TV production.
Through a series of practical workshops and critical seminars you'll explore both physical and digital art processes.
The course is ideal for people with basic drawing skills who are interested in developing professional skills in concept art.
It's also an excellent opportunity for illustrators who wish to investigate their role in the game production process, and game designers who are looking to focus solely on 2D visualisation skills.
On this course you will:
- use a combination of collage, hand drawing and digital techniques
- be taken through the process of developing characters and environments in response to a written brief
- undertake visual research
- explore thumbnailing, perspective, figure construction, character turnarounds and key scenes.
What will I gain?
At the end of the course you will have a range of work for your portfolio including development sketches and finished images.
