Join artist, physical theatre specialist and movement director Sophie Jane Corner in her 2025 movement school "CORNERED."
Exploring sharp, dynamic movement and connecting to the inner creative these workshops are perfect for those interested in movement, physical theatre and connection to the body.
Sophie Jane Corner is an award winning Actor, artist and movement director based in London with deep roots in the East Midlands, specifically Nottingham. She is currently an Amplify associate at Nottingham Playhouse, Associate with New Perspectives (2024-2025) and director of In Limbo productions. Her movement work has been featured in London and Midlands based theatre and film work. Sophie is trained in 200hrs Vinyasa and 50hr Yin Yoga. Her movement training includes: Frantic Assembly, Push Theatre and her current cohort Creation Space with Babel theatre and Ephemeral ensemble.
Join Sophie Jane Corner on this 4-day intensive course. Waking up that flame within you and connecting deeper this active intensive course will explore multidisciplinary expression. Ensemble work, solo work and partnerships will be explored. As the week progresses, we will continue to layer and thread our explorations together to form a company. The option of a sharing for an invited will be given to the group for the last day (23rd October). Perfect for those who have done physical theatre or movement before and want to deepen their practise or those who want a challenge! Videography is also included within this course for participants to have segments of their movement to share.
