FREE Entry to Nottingham Castle

Don't miss this chance to visit Nottingham Castle one last time for free before its gates close ahead of its £30m transformation.
Entry to the city’s most famous heritage site will be free from Monday 25 June 2018 to 5pm Sunday 1 July, with an exciting programme of free events and activities throughout the week to mark this significant milestone in the site’s history.
The special final week to say farewell to the current attraction will culminate in a weekend full of family fun.
As part of this special week of events to celebrate the Castle and mark it's closure there will be a series of curator talks - all of which are FREE and don't require you to pre-book:
Monday 25 June (12 noon)
Curator Talk - Rebellion. In this illustrated talk, Dr Richard Gaunt reflects on Nottingham’s rebellious past and the role of Nottingham Castle in shaping and reflecting the struggle for change.
Tuesday 26 June (12 noon Long Gallery)
Curator Talk - The works of Harold and Laura Knight with Tristram Aver, Exhibitions Officer
Wednesday 27 June (12 noon History Gallery)
Curator Talk - Nottingham's Medieval Alabasters with Louise Dunning, Curator of Fine and Decorative Arts
Thursday 28 June (12 noon Long Gallery)
Curator Talk - Viewpoints: Landscape Paintings with Deborah Dean, Visual Arts and Exhibitions Manager
Please note that there will still be cave tours but these will be charged at the usual rate - tours are held daily at 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm and cost £5/person with under-5s FREE.
