SEAS OF MIRTH

10.30 pm

Seas of Mirth are a high energy multi-genre band with an interactive deep sea twist... from the East Midlands! Fronted by two co-founding guitarists Al Judders and C Ball Paul, the band dabble in everything from worldly dance beats to wonky disco funk to psychey prog-folk, while the visual element is full on too with UV lights, bubbles, flamboyant white costumes and LED sea creatures on stage and in the crowd.. plus a traditional tug of war for good measure. It's one big sensory experience that has gone down a treat for many years now at festivals such as Glastonbury, Boomtown, Bearded Theory, Nozstock, Isle of Wight, Lindisfarne, Beat Herder, Maui Waui and Camp Bestival.
The latest album 'Kriller' has been toured up, down and across the UK including gigs with the likes of Henge and 3 Daft Monkeys. PROG Magazine called it "a fun, clever and uplifting experience, like a foam party hosted by Frank Zappa and Tame Impala" and it enjoyed some airplay on 6music. 'Kriller' and the 2019 album 'Sub Marine Dreams' form the main base of the set with big grooves, phat bass and catchy choruses, with a few old knees-ups chucked in for extra good times!

Bethlehem Casuals are a jazz/psych/rock septet based in Manchester. With an eclectic sound that infuses a world of influences, heady grooves and tribal drum circles, the Casuals' have been dubbed by some as "urban rock styled DIY world music"; but it's of course open to interpretation.
