National Youth Choir (15-18 Years) put their heart and soul into this rich and varied concert, where they explore themes of life, friendship, courage and love through the voices of different composers from a mix of cultures, places and eras.
Whether you're a die-hard choral music fan, or you've never been to a choir concert before - everyone is welcome! The best bit about our concerts are our teenage singers whose enthusiasm, power and skill shines through every performance.
From the heart, we'll hear Benard Hughes' fast-paced piece about the biological functions of the heart, and feel the rhythmic heartbeat pulse through the centre of Anita Datta's 'Shantiniketan', which she'll be workshopping with the choir especially for this concert. Plus soul-stirring music from Hubert Parry, Cecilia McDowall, Johannes Brahms, Laura Mvula, Kim André Arnesen - and even some Stevie Wonder or Bruno Mars if you're lucky!
