Bromley House Library
Tickets £8 for non-members and £5 for members
As humans need oxygen, so cities need carbon to stay alive. Therefore, delivering 'Net Zero Cities' is a seriously wicked problem. Are Net Zero Cities achievable? What does this even mean?
Professor Lucelia Rodrigues is the Chair in Sustainable and Resilient Cities at the Department of Architecture and Built Environment of the University of Nottingham. Her work is very cross-disciplinary, aiming to inform the sustainable practice of architecture and enhance the quality of the built environment. She is particularly interested in the resilience of communities and buildings in a changing climate and has been involved in several projects focused on different aspects of sustainability, particularly energy, carbon management and comfort.
She is the director of the Transport, Mobility & Cities @ Nottingham initiative and the MArch in Architecture & Sustainable Design programme, the Deputy Director of the Energy Institute and a part of a number of advisory boards supporting cities in their journey to carbon neutrality.
