Nottingham is a city of writing and poetry – from children’s literature to Booker Prize winners, scriptwriters and award-winning authors plus our very own Young Poet Laureate. In this UNESCO City of Literature Lord Byron and DH Lawrence rub shoulders with Alan Sillitoe and Stanley Middleton, plus there are poems about fairies, numerous crime-writers, several diarists and a Booklovers Library.
This 2 hour guided walk is wide ranging in content and just about 1 mile in distance, showcasing the city and celebrating the many writers, poets and published authors associated with Nottingham. Booklist provided at the end of the walk.
