AND THINGS TO DO IN NOTTINGHAM
You are here > What's On > October Events
Sadly some of our favourite October events and festivals can’t take place this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, including the much loved Hockley Hustle music festival and our famous Goose Fair.
But it’s not all doom and gloom as October is set to be a great month to visit Nottingham, with some great Covid-secure events and things to do in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire this autumn!
The Robin Hood Beer & Cider Festival is back this year from 13 – 16 October and the annual event has found a new home at Trent Bridge cricket ground! Nottingham’s popular beer festival promises all of the enjoyment of previous years, with a massive choice of cask beers and real ciders, live entertainment, gin bar, numerous street food stalls and lots more.
Each year the picturesque town of Southwell celebrates their unique heritage as home of the country’s favourite cooking apple at the Bramley Apple Festival. This year the festivities will take place on Saturday 23 October, with dozens of stallholders offering all manner of food and drink including pies, chocolates, jams, chutneys, pickles, sausages and much much more and once again this year we’ll be having live cookery demonstrations and fun children’s activities!
The annual Mayhem Film Festival showcases the best in horror, sci-fi and cult cinema each October at Broadway cinema. After a scaled-down skeleton edition this year’s Mayhem Festival is back with a full-flesh, four-day edition from 14 – 17 October 2021 with physical screenings of fantastic films, documentaries and the ever-popular Short Film Showcase.
The dinosaurs are taking over Thoresby Park this 15 - 31 October in Nottinghamshire! Dino Kingdom is a unique and cutting-edge 3D experience which uses AR technology to bring ancient history back to life right in front of your eyes. Visit the ancient kings and queens of prehistory this October, where they’ve got the family covered with thrilling fairground rides, delicious food and drink and more. Sink your teeth into an experience like nothing before and lose yourself in the adventure!
If you’ve not already had enough frights in 2021, there are plenty of Halloween happenings for all ages taking place throughout the county. Find out more on this page of our website.
