The Park Estate
Tickets: £6 | Under 18's Free
A warm welcome awaits you at the Park Garden Trail, held every two years in Nottingham's historic Park Estate - the former deer park of Nottingham Castle, right next to the city centre. PGT has been running since 1986, and features many open gardens and green spaces, cream teas, strawberries and fizz, homemade cakes, children's activities, live entertainment, bar and food stalls.
Our national obsession with gardening dates back centuries; it can be seen as creating an extension to our homes by nurturing an expression of beauty through nature, and is considered a part of our cultural heritage. Over the past 30+ years in The Park, many thousands of people have participated in this quintessentially English event, which follows the tradition of The National Gardens Scheme.
Please spend an afternoon with us in the Victorian heart of Nottingham and enjoy visiting a wide range of gardens and landscapes - some large, some small and some secret - while helping us to raise funds for local charities. Walk the wide leafy pavements, find the immense hidden tunnel, catch glimpses of caves set into the sandstone cliffs, and view the unique architecture of houses that have stood here for over 150 years. Newcastle Circus, one of The Park’s community spaces, will host a number of activities, some specially for children. Local restaurants and caterers will be on hand with food stalls, beer and wine.
