We all have a reason to Race. Who will you Race for?
Enter Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life and help raise money for research into all 200 types of cancer. This is the 30th year of Race for Life and participants will receive a special medal to mark the milestone.
The Race for Life is Cancer Research UK’s biggest series of fundraising events. Taking place across the UK, the events include routes for participants to walk, jog or run, as well as Pretty Muddy obstacle events.
Since it began in 1994, as a women-only event, Race for Life has grown into a series of hundreds of events across the country with around 10million people taking part, raising more than £920m to help fund cutting-edge research into cancer.
In 2019, for the first time, the Race for Life opened its doors to men to participate too, making it truly inclusive, and giving people the chance to come together with their family and friends, and join the movement to beat cancer.

Event Volunteers
Race for Life needs more people to help run the events. Come on your own, join in with a friend, or bring your whole family. Everyone is welcome, and we guarantee you’ll end the day smiling.
Imagine a sports ground with no cheering. It’s the same at a Race for Life without volunteers. They are looking for enthusiastic and friendly people to bring the magic to over 400 events. Can you help?
Search for your local event here.
We look forward to seeing you on an event site soon!
