Gallery 1, Nottingham Contemporary

Free *Donatations appreciated
Nottingham Contemporary are delighted to be collaborating with East Midlands chamber ensemble rarescale to present a series of musical performances responding to the artworks of I Gusti Ayu Kadek Murniasih in their current exhibition Feels Strangely Good, Ya?. Each performance will feature free improvisation, new works composed especially for the ensemble, and at least one premiere performance, with a focus on music by living composers.
For this upcoming session, Carla Reeves will be performing solo and will include some new works for the baroque flute written by postgraduate composers at Trinity Laban Conservatoire over the last term, as well as improvisations inspired by our current exhibition. There are three sessions that are roughly 20 mins long.
This event is supported by rarescale and the Frances Routh Trust.
