About

Stone Foundation presented by Appnin Events
Sunday 12 May, 7–11pm (doors at 6.30pm)
Tickets: £16.50 (including booking fee)

Stone Foundation, based in the Midlands, are a ground-breaking outfit with many subculture influences. They’ve worked with soul legends including Nolan Porter, Carleen Anderson, Betty Lavette, William Bell, and, from a slightly different subculture area, Paul Weller. Stone Foundation have raised the bar higher once again with their latest stunning studio album Everybody, Anyone, recorded at Paul Weller’s Black Barn Studios in Surrey.

An unmissable event! Joining the line-up are four funk and soul DJs.

Local DJ Alan Jones is part of the woodwork on the local soul circuit – he’ll bring his quality vinyl set to the Spiegeltent playing across the broad soul spectrum.

Mickey Boyle needs no introduction in the Nottingham area, his collection and personality speak for themselves, playing classic quality northern soul.

Jon Mills is a popular but undiscovered encyclopaedic soul and funk DJ, a regular gem at Arnold soul nights, playing Motown and disco, alongside soul and modern soul.

Paul Cater started his DJ life at 16 entertaining holidaymakers in Newquay. Playing funk and jazz funk, alongside some more mod 60s-beat type tunes.
