A volunteer-run heritage railway and transport heritage organisation based at the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre in Ruddington, Nottinghamshire. The organisation works to preserve and restore part of the historic Great Central Main Line, operating heritage trains along a route of nearly 10 miles between Ruddington and Loughborough. Its volunteers maintain historic locomotives, carriages and railway infrastructure while hosting train rides, special events and educational activities that celebrate Britain’s railway history.
The railway also aims to restore and reconnect more of the former main line, helping to safeguard transport heritage for future generations while providing visitors with an authentic experience of historic rail travel.
