Schuggies-Ceilidhs

About

Ceilidhs, (pronounces Kay-ley) are social dances with fast and furious Scottish music.

Schuggie runs regular ceilidhs with a variety of local bands.

Come along and enjoy a good night of socialising and dancing. Usually no need to book or buy a ticket in advance, just rock up and pay on the door.

See individual events for details.

Ceilidhs are enjoyed by all ages – from youngsters’ first Scottish dancing experience to old-timers out enjoying a burl. People come dressed in jeans, full highland dress – and everything in between. Wear something comfortable to dance in.

You don’t need to know what to do – Schuggies calls  the dances (gives you instructions), so you don’t need to know what to do. Ceilidhs are one of the few things in life where mistakes are encouraged and lots of friendly folk to give you a hand and get everyone up dancing.
