Sign up to a 1:1 training session with a Personal Trainer in our current exhibition Physical Culture by Augustas Serapinas. Organised by July Styles, a fitness and wellbeing coaching specialist, the sessions allow visitors to directly engage with Serapinas's interactive installation.
Physical Culture is the first institutional solo exhibition in England by Lithuanian artist Augustas Serapinas featuring a large-scale sculptural installation which invites audiences into a hybrid space of activity - performance space; drawing studio; and gym - featuring fully operational metal fitness machines with jesmonite sculptures replacing conventional weights. Regularly activated by work-out clubs and student life drawing groups throughout the duration of the exhibition, Physical Culture offers a structure in which the audience is encouraged to reread and challenge Western art history through embodied engagement, investigate the dominant theoretical and physical methodologies within arts education, and question the broader collective cultural memory that often structure Western societies.
Four personal trainers will be running 30 minute sessions at 12pm, 12.30pm, 1pm and 1.30pm.
This event is for visitors aged 18+ only.
Slots are limited, so please do let us know if you book and can no longer attend so that we can make the session available for someone else.
July Styles is a trauma informed women's coaching specialist and a certified strength and conditioning coach who works with individuals to build strength and fitness, promote longevity and overall wellbeing.
