Architects of Air presents Lumini Daedalite
Monday 20 – Thursday 23 October 2025 | Monday to Wednesday: 10am – 5pm, Thursday 10am – 4pm
Sneinton Market Square
Nottingham’s Architects of Air bring their amazing Lumini Daedalite to Sneinton Market Square, allowing visitors to explore inside the colourful installation. Be immersed into a world of shifting subtle and saturated hues where you can wander, sit down, and lose yourself in sensory bliss - awakening the senses.
A paradox, simultaneously providing a stimulating and calming environment, compelling many to rest, meander, or meditate. Daedalite features four 5-metre-high egg-shaped domes as the point of the entry. Passing through the domes you can discover two original features - an incredibly intricate rainbow-coloured Tree and a cavernous Main Dome, whose lofty ceiling was inspired by the Pantheon of Rome.
Daedalite is named after Daedalus. In Greek mythology he was the father of Icarus and the architect of the labyrinth of King Minos of Crete. The Main Dome ceiling features a 600-piece pattern, all glued together by hand. The pattern’s motif suggests birds flying, like Icarus, towards the sun.
Captivating people of all ages, Architects of Air has delivered amazing experiences in Nottingham for over 30 years.
It's a fantastic experience for everyone - from babies to grandparents - and is accessible to all. A great half-term activity for families!
As visitors are required to take off their shoes to enter Lumini, warm thick socks are recommended.
