Cyanotypes is a Victorian photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print, invented in 1842 by English scientist and astronomer Sir John Herschel. Cyanotypes make up an important part of the Debbie Bryan Nottingham Lace Archive; a collection of antique laces, large-scale lace cyanotype prints and original Nottingham Draughtsman's drawings. This archive, as well as collections inspired by it, is available to view on the second floor of the Debbie Bryan Ruddington Gallery, where this free craft will be hosted.
