Saturday 16 November – Sunday 5 January I Open Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-4pm I Sunday, 12noon-4pm I Closed Mondays
Venue: Angear Visitor Centre, Lakeside Arts
Price: Free admission
Join this fascinating exhibition at Lakeside Arts featuring Derek Sprawson's recent abstract paintings deliberately avoid literal imagery.
They are painted in dilute veils of acrylic, soaked into the fabric of the canvas. Simple screen-like shapes contain subtle tones of subdued colour that propose scenarios with unusual, 'incidental' lighting conditions.
