What does it mean to be human, in all its contradictions and complexity, ugliness and beauty? The final part of Toonga's nationally acclaimed Hip Hop Dance trilogy, Born to Exist invites change to overcome societal stigmas held towards ethnic minorities.
With lighting design by Simisola Majekodunmi, original score from Michael 'Mikey J' Asante and dramaturgy by Peggy Olislaegers, this work provides the ultimate platform for activism. Presented in partnership with Nottdance is back! FABRIC (Dance4 and DanceXchange) is delighted to be partnering with Lakeside Arts to present dance performances as part of the Nottdance Season that will be running across October and November 2022.
