Stemming from eastern roots MUHA layers and mixes the sounds of different traditions, influenced by the multicultural society that they inhabit in the UK. The band is a great live act, entertaining with musicianship and engaging with audiences through a variety of languages and catchy grooves.
MUHA’s musicians come from different walks of life and each one of them brings their own experience and expertise into this versatile band spreading out the new roots and branches of Eastern Europe to embrace all. Formed in 2004 when Ukrainian-born singer/songwriter Iryna Muha met Latvian rock legend Dmitry Fedotov. Together with Louise Clements and Nikki Mckenzie, MUHA offers a bewitching modern fusion of Slavonic-rooted music enhanced with rhythms, grooves and traditional folklore from all over the world.
