Saturday 4 - Sunday 12 June 2022

Big-time tennis returns to the city this June with the popular Nottingham Open event - one of the key grass court events as top male and female stars warm up for Wimbledon.

The entry list for this year’s Rothesay Open Nottingham has been released, with 2022 Mutua Madrid Open winner and world No.7 Ons Jabeur making her return to British grass courts after winning the Birmingham Classic last year.

That victory ensured she became the first Arab woman to capture a WTA title and her win at the Mutua Madrid Open last Sunday ensured the 27-year-old became the first African woman to win a WTA 1000 event.

Jabeur, is currently ranked at No.7 in the WTA rankings thanks to a solid start to the year that has also included a run to the final of the WTA 500 event in Charleston, USA.

Two former Nottingham Open champions are also set to return to the tournament this summer, with France’s 2019 winner Caroline Garcia joined by Croatia’s 2015 victor Ana Konjuh in the draw.
