What does it take to be a drummer today? Is it speed, chops, or highly developed technique?
While social media might suggest otherwise, the reality is quite different. For those pursuing a successful career as a working drummer, speed and chops are largely irrelevant.
In this free workshop, leading UK session drummer and educator Allan Cox will guide participants through the essential skills and tools for achieving drumming success. For the first time, he will introduce the groundbreaking concept of "Slow Hands, Fast Ears" to the drumming community—a principle he has developed, studied, and taught for nearly 50 years.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their sticks and practice pads to begin a transformative journey toward creating true music at the drums.
