Block Print your own Textiles with Fabritizia Design
The Malt Cross
Saturday 24th March 2018 | 11am - 3pm
In this class Anna from Fabritzia Design will show you how to design, carve and print your own stamps made from rubber. Printing onto quality cottons and linen, the technique produces varied and exciting results. Working from images/motifs of your own design you will produce several stamps which can then be combined to produce repeating patterns, experimenting with colour and scale.
This workshop is ideal for beginners who are interested in exploring printmaking or experienced printmakers looking to play with a new technique. Perhaps you love to sew? Why not come and create your own collection of fabrics.
You will leave the workshop with your collection of stamps, all your fabric and a detailed list of the equipment we have used and where it can be purchased from. If you wish to bring additional fabric items to print on like a t shirt or a tote bag you are most welcome.
Anna is a freelance designer and printmaker, working from her studio in Nottingham. Anna has been printmaking for 15 years. Her work has been featured in Ideal Home and on the new Channel 4 series ‘Craft it Yourself’. She produces her own range of handprinted art and stationery which she sells on Etsy.
