Sunday 18 and Saturday 19 January 2025 I Saturday: 11am-4pm I Sunday 12pm - 3pm
RSPB Sherwood Forest, Forest Corner, Edwinstowe NG21 9RN
Price: Free (parking and craft activity charges apply)
Join Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham in Sherwood Forest for the traditional wassailing ceremony to wish for the health of the woodland in the year ahead.
But their plans face being disrupted by the return of the Whitby Krampus Run to Sherwood!
Make a lantern for Saturday's lantern parade, which will set off from the Major Oak as the sun sets, birdseed shaker to ward off those pesky Krampus!
Then, on Sunday, bring pots and pans and dress up - ideally with a striking piece of headgear - for a loud parade back to the Major Oak headed by the Sheriff and Robin to send those Krampus packing for another year.
There will also be entertainment from Rattlejag Morris and the Lady Bay Revellers dance troupes, Hucknall Ukelele Group and a traditional mummers play from the Calverton Real Ale and Plough Play Preservation Society.
