Sherwood Pines will remain open for outdoor recreation and exercise during the national lockdown 5 November - 2 December.
Everything you need for action and adventure in the forest!
Sherwood Pines is one of the most popular destinations for mountain bikers in the East Midlands. You can improve your techniques on the skills loop before hitting the trails then venture on to the fast flowing Blue Trail or the more challenging Red route. If you don’t have a bike the team at Sherwood Pines Cycle Centre can fix you up with a set of wheels!
Discover the latest children’s activity trail or take a short walk to the Robin Hood Hideout play area. For those a little younger, the Mushroom Village play area is ideally located next to the visitor hub that is home to Go Ape, a café, toilets and the visitor information point.
For those looking for something more sedate, the woodland is a secluded haven, perfect for calming walks away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You could even give forest bathing a go! Once all the fun is done, make sure you stop by the café for a refuel.
Sherwood Pines is open daily from 8am to dusk, admission is free although there is a car parking charge of £2 for one hour, £4 for 2 hours or £6 for the full day.
