Go Active Falconry

About

Go Active Falconry was established out of a deep passion for birds of prey, conservation, and education.

Located at White Post Farm in Farnsfield, the Bird of Prey Centre is home to over 30 different species of hawks, owls, eagles, and falcons. The centre is welcoming, fully accessible, and designed for visitors of all ages and abilities.

Founders Laura and Simon take great pride in having launched the very first centre of its kind in Nottinghamshire. They are delighted to welcome guests from across the country to share in their enthusiasm for these magnificent birds.

Visitors are invited to step into the exhilarating world of falconry at Go Active Falconry—a premier destination offering immersive, hands-on experiences with birds of prey. Under the guidance of experienced falconers, guests can explore the ancient art of falconry and witness the grace and power of hawks, falcons, and owls in flight. Whether a wildlife lover, aspiring photographer, or someone in search of a unique outdoor adventure, the centre offers bespoke experiences that provide rare and memorable interactions with nature’s most skilled aerial hunters.

Why Choose Go Active Falconry?

  • Interactive Falconry Sessions – Participants can handle and fly trained birds of prey under expert supervision. Popular experiences include the VIP Woodland Walk with Hawks or the opportunity to become a falconer for the day.

  • Bird of Prey Photography Experiences – Ideal for both amateur and professional photographers, these sessions offer stunning close-up opportunities in picturesque settings.

  • Educational Flying and Interactive Demonstrations – Visitors learn about conservation, behaviour, and the history of falconry through engaging demonstrations and storytelling from passionate experts.

  • Family-Friendly Adventures – Suitable for all ages, the centre hosts tailored events for families, schools, and special occasions, where children can meet and interact with owls, falcons, and more.

  • Gift Vouchers & Special Events – Falconry experiences can be gifted for birthdays, corporate events, and unique celebrations, with customizable packages available.

  • Schools and Group Visits – The team of falconers also provides outreach visits to schools and groups, bringing a variety of birds and offering educational sessions tailored to age groups and curriculum topics such as owl babies, conservation, the history of falconry, and pellet dissection.

At Go Active Falconry, guests are encouraged not just to watch, but to experience the timeless art of falconry firsthand. It’s an opportunity to connect with wildlife, discover a centuries-old tradition, and create lasting memories. Bookings are available for individuals, families, and groups seeking an unforgettable encounter with some of nature’s most fascinating creatures.
