About

Set in the rolling Nottinghamshire countryside a few miles north of Nottingham, this family-run 'Pick Your Own' has 1000's of pumpkins and squashes for you to choose from in October, and in the summer, thousands of sunflowers!

Since 2019 Nottinghamshire ‘Pick Your Own’ Pumpkins has quickly risen to being one of the most popular pick-your-owns in the Midlands, if not the UK, with visitors travelling from all over the country!

They pride themselves on working with some fabulous local businesses including, Little Schnauzer Coffee Company, who are with them for both our Sunflower Experience and Pumpkin Picking; and Rocket Dogs, who join them for Pumpkin Picking. Little Schnauzer serve the most delicious food including panini’s, crêpes, home-made cakes, ice-cream and hot and cold drinks, including seasonal favourites!

The summer Sunflower Experience typically opens in August, and runs for several weeks.

This year, along with the thousands of sunflowers, there will be pick-your-own potatoes (a huge hit at the pumpkins in 2021), gladioli and sweetcorn! There will also be a wildflower meadow!

Come and stroll through acres of sunflowers, take pictures at the different photo opportunities, and pick-your-own produce! There will also be professional photographers on-site on selected days, that you can book in with to get some beautiful photos!

There will be an entry charge that is recouped against the produce picked, but there is no need to book in advance. Please keep and eye on the website and social media for updates on when the experience opens!

Pumpkin Picking opens in early October and runs until the 31st October. Thousands of pumpkins, squashes and gourds are grown, and there are loads of varieties and colours, so you will have loads of fun picking the pumpkin that’s just right for you! There will also be some great photo opportunities!

There is no need to book for Pumpkin Picking, and it is free entry.

Only a 20 minute drive from the centre of Nottingham, we are situated just off the A6097 on Oaks Lane, Oxton, Southwell, NG25 0RH.
