In this walkthrough, Dr Lara Pucci will explore the dynamics of looking in Rosalind Nashashibi's paintings. Throughout this walkthrough we will consider the way recurrent motifs draw us in and keep us looking, and how references to other works of art evoke a history of looking. While examining how thresholds are used both to reveal and conceal, as well as the ways in which Nashashibi's work animates the pleasure and discomfort of looking and being looked at.
