What do you think is the best bar or pub in Nottingham? Well, soon you’ll be given the chance to have your say on some of the top nightspots in the city as the search is on to find Nottingham’s Best Bar None! Best Bar None is a national scheme to find the bars, pubs and clubs that do that little bit extra to make sure their customers have a great and safe night out. Venues need to apply and are then put through a rigorous two hour assessment from industry professionals to see if they come up to scratch. If they meet the criteria, they will then be shortlisted for a number of awards, some voted for by the public and some assessed further by a panel of experts. Public voting will take place on the Best Bar None website from September and all voters will be entered into a prize draw to win a night out for four people in Nottingham. The awards are coordinated by the local Business Improvement District, We Are Nottingham, and winners will not only benefit from not only the prestige of being one of the best in the business but also additional promotional opportunities around the awards. As a national scheme, the Best Bar None awards has helped improve standards in the night time economy and many bars, pubs and clubs that take part feel that it’s great to get some recognition and show that they care about the local industry. So, visit the website and vote for your favourite venue to showcase Nottingham nightlife as a truly great experience. What do you think is the best place for a drink – the Pitcher and Piano or the Hog’s Head? There’s so much to choose from and with so many different experiences out there, make sure your voice is heard – you may end up getting a free night out from it.
