This week we are sharing Becky Morris Knight's favourite places in Nottinghamshire. Becky emailed us her picks. Here are some more specific activities for a great weekend: 1 - The Lakeside at the University of Nottingham - This is a great place to visit in the summer as you can have a wander round the gallery, get an ice cream, stroll through the beautiful grounds and then hire a boat to go rowing on the lake. This is pretty much my favourite way to spend a sunny summer afternoon. Also look out for the Lustre craft fair in winter - always great quality work from small scale designer makers. 2 - Visit the West End Arcade - This tiny arcade is a great place to find your favourite tunes on vinyl at The Music Exchange, seek out some vintage treasures in Recreation and finish off with an amazing crepe and Nottingham's best hot chocolate (in my opinion anyway!) at Aubrey's Creperie. Truly delicious! 3 - Go to the Nott Dance festival - This yearly festival is curated by Dance 4 and is based around contemporary dance and performance. Some of the best cultural experiences I've had (anywhere, not just in Nottingham) have been a part of Nott Dance. It's always inventive and exciting and depending on the performance you choose can also be challenging, thoughtful, melancholic or laugh out loud funny."
