My Favourite Half-Term attractions in Nottinghamshire by Molly and Maisy Tinney

You may feature on our blog and our various social media platforms. *all pictures were taken by Jack Tinney Some of you will remember our touring family, The Tinneys, who enjoyed six weeks of summer in Nottinghamshire last year. We caught up with with Molly, 8 and Maisy, 6 to ask them for their favourite places to visit during half-term in Nottinghamshire. "The Workhouse, Southwell - We love going to visit the Workhouse because it's big and it fits lots of people in it. We liked dressing up as paupers in the Victorian clothes, and we liked having a tour of the building and looking at all the old things that they would have used. They have great craft activities too, once we made a rag doll just like pauper children would have made. Nottingham Climbing Centre - We went for some climbing lessons at the Nottingham Climbing Centre. Maisy: "It's a bit tricky to climb right up to the top, but I did it and although I was scared to climb back down I managed to do it and I felt proud." Molly: "The instructors are really nice and there's a good cafe too so you can have some cake after you have done lots of climbing." Pirates Play Centre - Pirates Play Centre is very close to our house, and our friend even had his birthday party there. You can climb all you want and there are fast slides for the older children, and little cars for the toddlers too. There is loads of space and it is a good place to go if it is rainy. Sometimes we even have our lunch in the cafe."
