In the depths below The Cornerhouse in Nottingham, escape to another world, at _ACA3096Nottingham’s newest visitor attraction: the Lost City Adventure Golf. The first indoor adventure golf course of its kind in the East Midlands, the course is open to intrepid explorers of all ages, and is the perfect day out no matter what the weather. We visited after work on a Monday evening to test our mettle on this state-of-the-art adventure golf complex, which really does feel a world away from the buzzing shops and restaurants up at street level. Towering ancient rock walls, jungle plants and colourful birds set the scene of this lost Aztec city, where you can putt your way around 18 or 36 holes. Look out for moving walls, thunder storms and sound effects as you make your way around the course. _ACA3009It turns out some of our team are naturals when it comes to putting their way around a mini golf course, with a number of hole in ones being scored over the course of the evening. Many of the holes look deceptively simple, with many laughs as we tried to sink the ball in less than six shots! I managed to come last over all, but considering it was my first time at adventure golf, my pride wasn’t too hurt. After all, the fun is in the course, and less about winning (although a few of my more competitive colleagues might disagree!)._ACA2927 The course is available for parties and events, and has a fully licensed bar if you’re looking to make a night of it with your mates. They also offer children's parties in partnership with Chiquito and Pizza Hut, which are also both located in The Cornerhouse. Something for everyone! Happy golfing.
