Events like Robin Hood’s Easter Trail in Sherwood Forest, Cadbury Easter Egg Trails at three Nottinghamshire National Trust properties and an Easter egg hunt in the historic grounds of Nottingham Castle promise to be eggciting!

Design an Easter Bonnet Competition: Harts Hotel

Show your creative flair by taking part in an Easter bonnet competition organised by Hart’s Hotel. Adults have the chance to win an overnight stay at the hotel including a meal in the Park Bar, while youngsters could get their hands on a tasty chocolate prize. Robin Hood’s Easter Trail: Sherwood Forest

Visitors can explore the woodland at the legendary Sherwood Forest and follow the self guided trail. Discover fascinating facts about the forest and Nottinghamshire’s outlaw, Robin Hood. After completing all the clues, claim your delicious award.

Price: The normal price for the car park is £3. The trail costs £1 and is available from the Visitor Centre.

Easter Egg Tree: Nottingham Castle

14 – 21 April 2014, 11am – 4pm www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/Castle

Take your little ones to Nottingham Castle and they will be able to get creative and decorate an egg shape to hang on the Easter Egg Tree. Afterwards, join in the fun on an Easter Egg hunt to find hidden eggs around the historic grounds.

Price: Entry into the Castle is- Adults £5.50, Concessions (under 14s, over 60s & UK students) £4, Under 5s – FREE, Family Ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children) £15. The Easter Trail is a FREE activity.

Cadbury Easter Egg Trails: Clumber Park, Mr Straw’s House & The Workhouse

18 – 21 April 2014

Cadbury has teamed up with National Trust properties, Clumber Park, Mr Straw’s House and The Workhouse. Children can help solve the mystery of the missing Easter eggs and be rewarded with a tasty chocolatey prize.

Bunnies and Bonnet: Framework Knitters Museum
