The exhilarating sport of powerboat racing is one that is best experienced live - and this weekend you can do just that as the Powerboat GP Championships get underway at the National Watersports Centre. This event will see 52 powerboat racers from 12 different countries battle it out to claim the title of World Champion. There are also three European Championship titles up for grabs. Watch skilled racers twist and turn across the water and marvel at their speed, which sometimes exceeds 70mph. The National Watersports Centre is also perfect for spectators because all the action takes place in a relatively confined space with viewing points all around the man-made lake.
