This coming weekend (28th & 29th November) the Great Christmas Show, sponsored by Nottingham City Transport, will be taking place at Wollaton Hall for its first weekend of two this year. The second weekend will take place the weekend after (5th & 6th December), with both weekends being full of family fun and Christmas festivities. The Great Christmas Show is all about getting into the Christmas spirit and this will be achieved by an array of fantastic Christmassy decorations scattered around the venue. There will also be a Santa’s Grotto where your kids will be able to meet the big man himself and even get the chance to have a Christmas story read to them. Not only do we have Santa, but there will also be a collection of their other favourite characters. Elsa, Olaf and Anna will be there over the two weekends and will be joined by the infamous Minnie and Mickey Mouse! What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than listening to Christmas songs! There will be a whole host of schools from around the county taking part in a Christmas Carol Competition on each day of the event, if that doesn’t make you feel like Christmas is coming, then nothing will. The competition will take place on the huge ‘Air-IT’ stage. But that isn’t all. If you want to learn how to wrap the perfect present, decorate the perfect cake or even make the best treats for your beloved pets at Christmas, then we have a great selection of workshops that will be available for you to attend and sharpen your skills. Last, but by no means least, there will also be an outstanding amount of stalls that will be selling food, drink, crafts and more. So there is no better place to come along and find those unique gifts for that special someone for Christmas!
