Saturday 26 March | Albert Hall | 7:30pm | Tickets from £5 - £20
Enjoy an evening of dynamic orchestral music in Nottingham's Albert Hall this Saturday. Come and hear the Nottingham Philharmonic Orchestra as they play four unique pieces by Louise Farrenc, Mozart, Coleridge-Taylor and Schumann.
The concert starts with an Overture written in 1834 by French composer Louise Farrenc, followed by Mozart's popular Sinfonia Concertante for violin and viola. This will be played by their leader Clare Bhabra and viola principal Ann-Marie Shaw.
The night will then move onto Coleridge-Taylor, who wrote his Othello Suite in 1909, described as 'incidental music rich with haunting melodies'. The concert concludes with Schumann's 3rd Symphony, full of wonderful melodies and dramatic rhythms.
