Cross kick your way from the Archers to the Panthers at the Motorpoint Arena and National Ice Centre, this world-class venue is home to Nottingham’s Elite League Ice Hockey Club, as far as spectator sports go, you’ll witness some fast-paced power plays with non-stop exciting atmosphere on and off the ice.

If water is your thing head over to Holme Pierrepont Country Park and the National Water Sports Centre, for the best White Water Rafting course in the country. Or try out something a little more sedate like Kayaking or Paddleboarding on the 2.5km Regatta Lake and Lagoon Pool.

No visit to Nottinghamshire would be complete without a pilgrimage to Meadow Lane and the World’s oldest professional football club, Notts County and cheer on the Magpies. It’s a big bucket list stadium tick for any avid football fan. When the final whistle blows, take a short walk over the river to Trent Bridge to see a T20 or Test match, also if you’re lucky enough catch tickets to an England International!
