Set in 250 acres of woodland and unspoilt scenery, Walesby Forest is the home to many regular campers who choose the leafy beauty of Nottinghamshire as their destination for their holidays. Our wide range of pitch sizes cater to a variety of needs, from 15m x 15m, 20m x 20m to 30m x 15m, as well as standard and electric pitches and spaces for large groups and dog-friendly stays.
Tents, caravans and motorhomes are all welcome and our facilities mean you’ll have everything you need to set up camp and get settled. Water and Elsan Points make hooking up quick and simple and our on site showers, toilets and waste recycling points give you easy access to some essential home comforts. You can also enjoy our on site shop, bar, and wide range of activities as well as 250 acres of Robin Hood county to roam and explore at your leisure.
Activities include water sports, climbing, archery, rifle shooting and many more besides – perfect for the whole family. A daily programme of what’s on offer will be published in advance, with all activities available on a pay and play basis to make them as affordable and flexible as possible. Our team of qualified instructors are always on hand with a promise to make sure you have fun in a safe and secure environment.
Public camping
The site is home to many regular campers who choose to spend their holidays a bit closer to home. Tents, caravans and motorhomes are welcome for visitors to pitch-up, with water, on-site showers, toilets and recycling points among the many camping facilities available on site.
Walesby Forest offers a comprehensive range of facilities which guarentee to compliment your stay. From a shop full of all the necessities to clean showers and toilets plus a well stocked bar. The site's dedicated staff and instructors will make sure you have all that you need.
Lodges
Kemp and Walesby lodges are set in their own grounds looking over the parkland. These high specification buidlings include disabled facilities and are suitable for all groups.
Parker and Sherwood lodges are located newar the camp centre in the heart of Walesby Forest suitable for all groups.
Things to do
With over 40 on-site activities to choose from, there’s always something for visitors of any age and ability to enjoy at Walesby. Popular activities include water sports, climbing, archery and the legendary giant crate stack and to ensure that the outdoor action takes place in a safe, low-pressure environment, a friendly and experienced team of dedicated instructors are on-hand at all times.
Schools and Scouts
As an established outdoor activity centre, Walesby Forest offers packages which help to develop children and young people’s confidence in a safe, fun and inclusive environment. Scouts, Guides, schools and youth groups are some of the groups which regularly venture to Walesby for their own adventure of a lifetime.
Accessibility
The centre is accessible for wheelchair users and those with disabilities. The Kemp Lodge has facilities which prioritise the safety and comfort of visitors who may need extra space and equipment.
Many of the activities available are suitable for visitors of all abilities and physical needs, with staff on-hand to make sure that your experience is fun and bespoke to you.
