Walton Thorns Farm Holiday Cottages, Leicestershire

The sympathetic, single-storey farm courtyard conversions, on a working arable farm near Six Hills in North Leicestershire, offer guests the choice of three individual cottages. Each cottage provides peaceful, comfortable and spacious self catering accommodation on one level, with their own patio furniture.

The Old Hay Barn, ideal for a couple or a sole traveller, is a cosy hideaway with vaulted ceiling and oak beams.

Shire Cottage sleeps up to four in two double en-suite bedrooms, with full height living room windows to enjoy the views to the woodland beyond.

Dairy Cottage accommodates up to four in two twin rooms. The living-kitchen area is open plan and very spacious.

Guests can enjoy guided tours of a vintage tractor collection. The farm offers excellent links to the public bridleway and footpath network for those who would like to explore the area on foot or two wheels. Cycle and walking guides for the area are also available within the accommodation.

Walton Thorns Farm is located within a short car journey from the A46 between Nottingham and Leicester and the B676 to Loughborough and Melton Mowbray. There are popular attractions to visit across the counties of Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Rutland including King Richard III Visitor Centre, The National Space Centre, Nottingham Castle and The Great Central Railway heritage line at Loughborough and Nottingham. Local information is provided for guests within all cottages.
Bookings are taken for arrivals on any day of the week for a stay of 3 to 7 nights giving guests flexibility to plan their holiday and travel arrangements. Longer vacations are available.
