Newark to Harbey Cycle Route
Distance: 15 miles (24 km)
Newark-on-Trent is a delight to explore with its castle and traditional market square.
The cycle route takes you under the town’s bypass and the A1 and through Winthorpe into open countryside. A traffic-free section passes the future site of an RSPB reserve that is being developed on the worked out areas at Langford Quarry.
Collingham boasts two churches and offers cyclists plenty of excuses for a rest.
The route follows rural lanes through attractive villages to reach Harby and the start of a 6.5 mile traffic-free path to Lincoln.
An unsigned route, taking in several Lincolnshire villages, has been marked to enable an enjoyable, circular ride.
There is also an on-road, linear option for the route. Download the PDF on the right hand side of this page to see all of the route options.
