Step into a tropical paradise at the award-winning Butterfly House* and explore the brilliant Bird House where you’ll experience the sensational sights, sounds and smells of a tropical rainforest with amazing free-flying butterflies and tropical birds. You’ll find caiman, iguanas, turtles, frogs, armadillos, stick insects, leafcutter ants and more along the way!
Don’t miss the daily Animal Antics show with our spectacular free-flying birds and get closer to the animals you love in the amazing Animal Encounters and Keeper Talks where you can get to know wild friends at the Wilderness Walkthrough, Meerkat Mansion, Macaw Kingdom and Lemur Heights!
There’s bite-sized fun for all the family with animal feed bundles and otter fish pots available to purchase to feed the friendly residents of the Farm Barn, Guinea Pig Village, Otter Springs and more!
Say hello to tiny mouse lemurs, tenrec and primates at the Small Animal House and look out for native wildlife champions around the park, from barn owls and ferrets to harvest mice families and red squirrels!
When it’s time to play, kids can go wild in the splash zone, sandpits and play park! Jump on board the tractor-trailer ride, make a daring discovery on the Dino Trail and hunt for fossils in the Dino Dig or search for minibeasts around the nature trail and wildlife ponds! Plus, there’s always something new with their exciting seasonal events, themed trail hunts and school holiday activities running throughout the year!
Treat yourself at the Butterfly Café or Lottie’s Coffee Lounge with its glorious outdoor seating area and dining pods and serving a delicious range of hot and cold food and drink, picnic boxes and Afternoon Tea. Indoor and outdoor picnic areas are also available.***
They’re bringing wildlife closer to home! Did you know a percentage of your admission goes towards helping them preserve native species across the region - so every visit is helping local wildlife too!
The Butterfly House's 3 conservation sites in Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire cover 46.5 acres of land with a sole aim to protect and manage native habitats and species – that’s everything from butterflies and bees, flowers and insects, wild birds, mammals and even red deer!
Come as a caterpillar and leave as a butterfly! Gift vouchers are available for annual membership, animal experiences, animal adoptions and more!
Admission to the park is not required to enjoy Lottie’s Coffee Lounge or access the Jungle Gift Shop.
