With more of a personal touch, we trek at the Customer's pace whether it be fast or slow! We take out smaller groups as it allows the customers to totally relax and enjoy their trek much more.  THE BEST OFF-ROAD HORSE RIDING in the Midlands!! Very safe for beginners and a dream you wouldn't believe for experienced riders! 


There are so many different routes to ride. We don't have to worry about a horse knowing where they usually canter because it’s a different ride every time with our safe trekking horses.  

We care that little bit more and go that extra mile at Derbyshire Pony Trekking. Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence/Hall of Fame/Travellers Choice winners every year for 8 years running from 2015 to 2022.

6th January - New Year Disney Special - come dressed as your favourite Disney character and let the magic begin!

22nd January, 4th February - Onesie/Oodie Special! Come dressed in your best onesie or oodie and stay snug and warm in the dark!

Trekking Prices

£30 per person - 1 Hour (suitable for 4 years upwards and beginners)

£40 per person - 1.5 Hours (suitable for adult beginners to experienced riders)

£50 per person - 2 Hours (suitable for adult beginners to experienced riders)

£60 per person - 2.5 Hours (riders must be able to walk, trot & canter)

£75 per person - 3 Hours Forest Trek (riders must be able to walk, trot & canter)

PLEASE NOTE: Last minute bookings (on the day booking) will incur a surcharge of £2 extra per person.

Night Treks £40 per person


Pub Grub Treks (includes pub lunch)

4 Hours £90


Day Rides (bring your own picnic)

3 hour £75 riders 

5 hour £150 


Day Rides (including Afternoon Tea)

3.5 hour Afternoon Tea (Forest Trek) £100 per person

4 hour Afternoon Tea Trek (Elmton Village) £120 per person

4.5 hour Afternoon Tea (Forest Trek) £130 per person


One to one Confidence Building Trek/Private Trek/Private Lesson

£60 per hour per person

(Not available at weekends or school holidays)

(Teenagers and adults only)


Sunset Treks

Prices per person as follows:

1 hour - £30
1.5 hours - £40
2 hours - £50

Sunset treks operate only in the months where the sun sets between 4.30pm -7.30pm
