Venue: Nottingham Contemporary
Price: Free
Focusing on the logistics needed to make an event happen, you will delve into the process of planning. This session will be largely fuelled by conversations, focusing on shared knowledge and experiences through which you will explore:
- how different dates and times can impact your event
- things to consider when choosing venues
- managing working with others, be it speakers or co-facilitators
- crafting marketing materials which resonate with your audience
- what timelines and deadlines to set yourself
- getting the most of your budget and where to gain support
Lastly, you'll discuss how to do all this while keeping your attendee's needs and your own values in mind. You don't need to have a clear event idea to join, you can simply use this space for brainstorming, exploration or inspiration. Throughout the conversation, you will be connecting ideas on paper, resulting in a big collaborative paper map which you will build on throughout this 1525 DIY series.
