Sunday 19 November | 1pm-4pm
Venue: Nottingham Contemporary
Price: Free
Join Nottingham Contemporary for a slow craft social lead by Textile Artist and Visitor Services Supervisor, Emma Graves. Drawing ideas from Craftivism* and Mindfulness, explore relaxing techniques such as embroidery, collage, and printing in the session. Take time to approach making in a contemplative space to resist the pressures of productivity. This drop-in workshop focuses on enjoying the process of making as opposed to producing a finished piece.
No need to have previous craft experience. Drop-in at any time but booking is required.
Materials will be provided!
*Craftivism (coined by Betsy Greer), a portmanteau of craft and activism, utilises craft as a form of gentle protest.
