Visitors can look forward to a tail-wagging day out like no other at Southwell Racecourse’s Dog Friendly Raceday. The racecourse will be opening its gates to four-legged friends and their humans for a fun-filled raceday designed to delight both pets and people. Whether attending with a playful pup or a seasoned show-dog, guests will have the chance to enjoy live horse racing in a dog-friendly atmosphere.
The event promises a relaxed, inclusive experience, perfect for dog lovers seeking a unique way to spend a day at the races.
The day will be packed with paw-some entertainment and interactive activities for dogs to enjoy. Fun games and competitions will take place, including the ever-popular “Best Turned Out Dog” contest—so owners are encouraged to bring their pups looking their best.
Additional dog-friendly activities will be announced soon, but visitors can look forward to treats and special surprises throughout the day. From agility games to photo opportunities, it will be the perfect outing for both pets and their people.
Please note: Dogs are welcome outdoors but are not permitted inside indoor areas, including the restaurant.
The event is just as enjoyable for humans. Alongside the excitement of live horse racing, there will be delicious food and drink options, a buzzing social atmosphere, and the chance to meet fellow dog lovers. Guests can enjoy scenic views of the course and take in a full afternoon of Premier quality racing—all with their four-legged companions by their side.
This special raceday is part of the Premier Racing calendar, one of 162 Premier Racedays across British horseracing that showcase the highest quality racing in the sport. Attendees can expect to see top-class competition and an unforgettable experience.
