Join the National Holocuast Centre for a screening of the acclaimed documentary The Commandant's Shadow The screening will be followed by a live Q&A with Maya Lasker-Wallfisch, daughter of Auschwitz survivor Anita Lasker-Wallfisch and star of the documentary.

The film explores two lives divided by Auschwitz. Hans Jürgen Höss, son of the camp's infamous commandant, confronts the dark legacy of his father's crimes. Auschwitz survivor Anita Lasker-Wallfisch, once a prisoner in the shadow of the Höss family villa, shares her story. Together, they and their children grapple with inherited guilt and trauma in a deeply intimate setting.

Maya, a psychotherapist and author, will share her insights on Holocaust legacies in an interview with Museum Director Marc Cave.
