Outdoor cinema returns to Sherwood Forest this summer with a programme of four fantastic films to enjoy in July.

Friday 25th July 2025 | 7pm 
The Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers

Last year, they brought you the first film in the trilogy – The Fellowship of the Ring. This summer, continue on a cinematic journey through Middle Earth, surrounded by Ent-like ancient oak trees with the next instalment – The Two Towers.

Tangled

The magically long-haired Rapunzel has spent her entire life in a tower, but now that a runaway thief has stumbled upon her, she is about to discover the world for the first time, and who she really is.

Jumanji - Welcome to the Jungle

Four teenagers are sucked into a magical video game, and the only way they can escape is to work together to finish the game.

Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves

The 1991 Hollywood epic, starring Kevin Costner as the outlaw hero of Sherwood and Alan Rickman as the dastardly Sheriff of Nottingham, is what many people regard as their favourite cinematic depiction of the Robin Hood legend!

Films in the Forest wouldn’t be complete without the wonderful Disney’s Robin Hood, with the foxy hero pitted against the devious and dastardly Prince John.

A Knight's Tale

Join RSPB for ‘A Knight’s Tale’, the 2001 Medieval movie starring the late, great Heath Ledger as William Thatcher, a lowly peasant who reinvents himself as a knight in search of glory and the love of a fair maiden.
