Passion, strength and blood in perfect harmony with the elegance and the sensuality, is delighted by the most authentic flamenco dance... The flight of her hands brings freedom and her feet tapping connects us with the earth, with the root.
From the deepest roots of flamenco, this show is born from the tradition of flamenco culture shaped by the luminosity of the alegrías, the depth of the taranto, the rhythms of the tangos or the jondura of the soleá.
Like the newly germinated seed that is nourished by the dewdrops, this work is the path that blossoms from the lament of the traces of the past towards the uncertain and unburdened future.
Rebeca has a long formation including Flamenco, Classical Spanish Dance, Ballet and Contemporary dance at "Carmen Amaya Flamenco cultural academy", the world renowned "Centro de Arte Flamenco y Danza Española Amor de Dios" in Madrid, and later at "Escuela Mayor deDanza", atAndalousian Centre of Dance, at Úrsula and Tamara López "Flamenco Danza" school and at Professional Dance Conservatory in Seville. Her most influential masters are La Tati, Merche Esmeralda, El Güito, Javier Latorre, Carmela Greco, La Truco, Adela Campallo, among others.
Her dance comprises a vast repertoire including dance instruments: bata de cola, mantón, bastón, fan and castanets, and personal fusion skills with circus and theatre.
As part of the flamenco company "Teatro Flamenco La Tati", Rebeca performs in the production "A mi manera" under the direction of the internationally celebrated flamenco dancer and choreographer, La Tati, at Madrid's Conde Duque Theatre.
She stands out in Copenhagen, Denmark, at Himmelstorm Festival and VendersKulturCentret, together with Yolanda Almodóvar Quartet and in a duo with the circus artist Villads Bugge Bang, performing an original piece that plays with flamenco dance, body percussion, circus and physical theatre.
She has toured with her productions: "CalleJondo", and "FlamenCaravana", televised on Tele5, Antena3, CanalSur, TeleMadrid…
Currently, she lives in Seville where she performs at the reknown Sevillian tablao Los Gallos and Sevillian peñas flamencas: Torres Macarena, Curro de Utrera and El Laurel.
Most recently, Rebeca was part of one of Madrid's most important flamenco festivals: Suma Flamenca Joven, at the Canal Theatres, where she released her production: "R A Í C E S", her first solo proposal, that will be put into scene this year across Europe.
